Below are frequently asked questions for wood fence.

Are there standard sizes of wood gates & can you tell me anything about wood gates?
Standard size gates can be 4' wide & 5' wide single walk gates, and 8' wide & 10' wide double drive (DD) gates. However, at Life Time Fence, we make all of our wood gates onsite, and are able to customize as needed.
If I have a 5-7 year old 6' wooden fence (in good condition) & am thinking about relocating part of the fence--is it worth it to try to salvage the current post or just to purchase new ones?
We recommend to reinstall the existing fence with new posts to assure that integrity of the posts. We attempt to re-use as much of the existing wood as possible when reinstalling. However, anytime you remove a fence, you run a risk of additional damage to fence and may incur additional fees for any extra materials that may be needed.
What kind of posts do you use for wood fence?
We use steel postmaster posts for all of our wood fence, and we use black powder coated postmaster gate posts for our gates, which provide additional strength to help prevent the gate from sagging. The black gate postmasters also provide a nice, modern look to a finished wood fence.
How do you install your posts for wood fence?
We have a couple of options when it comes to setting posts. We can dig and set the posts with a concrete footing, or we can install posts with a no-dig application where we use longer posts and drive the posts deep into the natural compacted earth.
